H. Christopher Boehning
Partner
A partner in the Litigation Department, Mr. Boehning's practice includes complex commercial and civil litigation matters, insurance counseling and litigation, regulatory inquiries, internal investigations and international arbitrations.

Mr. Boehning has significant regulatory experience gained from representing leading financial institutions in connection with the research analyst, mutual fund and subprime inquiries.

Mr. Boehning also has an active insurance practice, which has included representing leading insurance companies in connection with coverage litigation, representing an energy company in a coverage dispute, representing a leading aviation industry participant in ongoing litigation arising out of the events of 9/11, and representing a life insurance company in coverage litigation.

Mr. Boehning has extensive international experience. He frequently represents Japanese companies in litigation and regulatory inquiries and is responsible for coordinating the Firm's litigation efforts in Japan. Mr. Boehning has handled international arbitrations sited in Paris, London and Tokyo. Mr. Boehning is an Honorary Member of COMBAR.

Mr. Boehning has been tapped as a "Future Star" by Benchmark Litigation. He is regarded as an expert on e-discovery issues and has spoken at numerous conferences and seminars on such issues. Mr. Boehning is an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan Law School where he lectures on litigation strategy and e-discovery. He is a regular contributor to The New York Law Journal's Technology column on the topic, and is an ongoing participant in The Sedona Conference Working Group Series.

Mr. Boehning received both his M.S. in Public Policy Analysis in 1988 and his B.A. in Political Science in 1987 from the University of Rochester where he was a Rochester National Scholar. Mr. Boehning received his J.D. in 1994 from Washington University School of Law where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Washington University Law Quarterly and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He currently serves on the National Council for Washington University School of Law.

Prior to entering law school, Mr. Boehning was a Budget Fellow with the New York State Executive Department, Division of the Budget.
