Paul, Weiss Achieves Asylum Victory for Kosovar Albanian Client
On March 16, Paul, Weiss obtained asylum for a pro bono client who fled Kosovo in 2007 and sought asylum in the United States. In Kosovo, a terrorist organization known as the Albanian National Army (ANA) had harassed, threatened and beaten our client for his opposition to the ANA's ultra-nationalist ideology. The Paul, Weiss team, which worked on the client's case for nearly two years, included litigation partner Chris Boehning, associate Nader Hasan, law clerk Mark Silver and paralegal Stephen Brownlee; corporate law clerk Judith Tomkins; and former law clerk Jeremy Benjamin and former paralegal Alex Talley.
