SEC Issues Concept Release on Changes to U.S. Proxy System

On July 14, 2010, the SEC issued a concept release seeking public comment on the United States proxy system and whether regulatory or other reforms are needed to enhance the accuracy, transparency and efficiency of the proxy voting process, to facilitate communications between shareholders and issuers and to address decoupling of voting power and economic interest.
