Article Discusses SEC Announcement and Effects on Foreign Private Issuers

London-based securities partner Mark S. Bergman, Toronto-based M&A partner Adam M. Givertz and associate Patricia Vaz de Almeida published an article discussing a policy recently announced by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The new policy limits the ability of foreign private issuers to submit registration statements and amendments to the SEC on a confidential basis. The article, "SEC Further Limits Confidential Submissions By Foreign Private Issuers," appeared in the January issue of BNA International's "World Securities Law Report."
