Litigation partners Brad Karp, Mark Pomerantz, Walter Ricciardi and Beth Wilkinson will speak at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association - Compliance & Legal Division's 42nd Annual Seminar, taking place on May 5-7 at the Gaylord National Hotel in National Harbor, Maryland. The seminar will provide a comprehensive discussion of the most current issues relating to the compliance and legal communities, as well as the latest challenges of the regulatory and legislative landscape. Brad will speak on the panel "Litigation Update-Major Civil Cases," which will cover topics such as class action developments, credit crunch and subprime litigation, and foreign cubed litigation. Mark will speak on the panel titled "Litigation Update-Regulatory and Criminal," which will explore, among others, new developments and trends in enforcement and criminal actions. Walter will speak on the first session of the panel "Handling a Regulatory Investigation," which will cover topics such as representation and conflicts, document production and communicating with regulators. Beth will speak on the panel "Handling a Corporate Crisis," which will discuss topics such as implementing controls, responding quickly and managing brand erosion.
