A counsel in the Litigation Department, Brian L. Stekloff focuses his practice on white collar criminal-defense, product liability, antitrust, complex civil ligation, and internal investigations. Mr. Stekloff has defended major corporations in significant litigations, including a major pharmaceutical company and a major healthcare provider against antitrust allegations, and a Fortune 50 company in a consumer class action. He has represented board committees in connection with domestic internal investigations pertaining to various subject matters, including accounting improprieties. He has also represented numerous individuals in connection with criminal investigations by the U.S. government. In November 2010, Mr. Stekloff successfully represented Pfizer in a jury trial, as second chair, in product liability litigation relating to the hormone therapy drug Prempro.
Prior to joining Paul, Weiss, Mr. Stekloff served as an assistant federal public defender for the Southern District of Florida, U.S. District Court, in Miami, Florida, where he was lead-counsel or co-counsel in twenty-two felony jury trials, including seven full acquittals. Before that, Mr. Stekloff was an associate at a major Washington law firm for three years.
