A partner in the Litigation Department, Eric S. Goldstein has extensive experience in handling and trying a broad range of litigation matters, with particular emphasis in the fields of securities class actions, white collar crime, corporate investigations and complex commercial disputes.
Mr. Goldstein has been profiled by

The Best Lawyers in America in regulatory enforcement and securities litigation. Currently, Mr. Goldstein is representing: JPMorgan Chase in numerous regulatory matters and class action litigations arising from the near collapse of Bear Stearns in March 2008; JPMorgan Chase in several litigations relating to the implosion of Amaranth, a large hedge fund; Citigroup in class action litigation arising from its investment in the Philadelphia Stock Exchange; and Israel Aerospace Ltd., Israel’s largest company, in litigation arising from its investment in a satellite company. Mr. Goldstein currently also represents a number of private equity and hedge funds firms, including Eton Park Capital Management and Paine & Partners. Previously, Mr. Goldstein has represented Morgan Stanley, Raytheon and News Corp., among other major corporations, in significant litigation matters.
In the securities arena, Mr. Goldstein spent over five years on the team representing Michael Milken in his historic battle with the Justice Department and SEC. Mr. Goldstein also represented Mr. Milken in more than 180 securities cases and class actions commenced in federal and state courts around the country, and was involved in structuring the precedent-setting global settlement that resolved the Milken-related securities actions.
Active in the community, Mr. Goldstein is President of Manhattan Day School; Chair of UJA-Federation of New York’s Commission on Jewish Identity and Renewal; former Chair of the Lawyers Division of UJA-Federation of New York; President of the Beth Din of America; a founding Board Member of Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education; a Board Member of the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG); and a Honorary Board Member of DOROT, Inc.
Mr. Goldstein previously served as Chairs of the firm’s Recruitment Committee and Legal Personnel Committee, and currently serves as co-Chair of the Firm’s Professional Representation Committee.
