Paul, Weiss Recognized in The American Lawyer

Paul, Weiss was noted in the June issue of The American Lawyer in "Canadian Big Deals," for its role in Quadra Mining Ltd.'s acquisition of Toronto-based copper miner FNX Mining Company Inc. The $1.6 billion stock deal is a merger of equals that will give Vancouver-based Quadra access to FNX's copper-nickel assets in Sudbury, Ontario. The deal will marry FNX's experience in mining high-grade underground deposits with Quadra's high-volume open pit mines and processing assets in the United States and Chile. The Paul, Weiss team that advised Quadra included corporate partners Mark Bergman and Ted Maynard, counsel Didier Malaquin, and associates Adam Balfour, Marta Kelly and Peter Wright; and tax partner David Mayo and associate Anat Aronowicz.
