Description of Program and Relief
Coronavirus Relief Fund Grants for Community-Based Organizations
The Long Beach Coronavirus Relief Fund, a joint effort of the City of Long Beach and the Long Beach Community Fund, is supporting community-based organizations at the frontlines of the COVID-19 response by providing grants up to $20,000.
An authorized committee of the Long Beach Community Foundation will review grant applications and recommend grants for eligible organizations that have already or will provide assistance during the COVID19 pandemic.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions
Grants are made to support educational, governmental, and 501(c)3 non-profit organizations working on coronavirus relief efforts. A committee of the Long Beach Community Foundation will review the grant applications and recommend grants for eligible organizations that have been providing, or will provide, assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eligible projects include, but are not limited to:
1) Serving low-income individuals affected by COVID-19 to pay for critical expenses;
2) Microloans and/or funds to small businesses affected by COVID-19 to pay for critical expenses and to adapt business models during this crisis;
3) Providing emergency funds for workers laid off as a result of COVID-19;
4) Providing assistance, such as shelter, food, and sanitation supplies to individuals experiencing homelessness in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and provide quarantine as a result of COVID-19 exposure;
5) Providing food and critical supplies delivery to those who are home-bound;
6) Support for emergency healthcare workers; and
7) Support for mental health and domestic violence sheltering.
