Description of Program and Relief

‘Great Plates Delivered’ Meal Delivery Initiative

LA County is participating in California’s ‘Great Plates Delivered’ initiative, and will provide three home-delivered meals a day to qualifying adults who apply and are either over 65, or aged 60-64 and in a high-risk group as defined by the CDC.

This initiative also aims to stimulate the economy by bringing employees back to work from the restaurant, hospitality, and transportation industries.

Currently available until August 9, 2020, unless extended.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

To be eligible for participation, individuals must be unable to prepare or obtain meals, have no other current assistance from other state or federal nutrition assistance programs, and be either over 65, or aged 60-64 and in a high-risk group as defined by the CDC.
