Waiver of One-Week Waiting Period for Claims for Unemployment Benefits
Description of Program and Relief
The normal one-week waiting period has been waived for any person making a claim for unemployment benefits who has become separated from work as a result of any circumstance relating to or resulting from the outbreak of COVID-19 or the effects of the Governor’s related declaration of a State of Emergency.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions
In addition to normal requirements concerning unemployment benefits, the worker needs to have been separated from work due to COVID-19 or the State of Emergency.
Application Deadlines (If Applicable)
This waiver will no longer be available 90 days after the termination of the declared State of Emergency.
