Description of Program and Relief

(SNAP)

New Mexico’s SNAP program provides assistance to individuals and families struggling to afford food at supermarkets, grocery stores, and farmers’ markets. Although there is no specific guidance related to COVID-19, families may be eligible if they meet general income and asset limit eligibility requirements.

The following people may be eligible: persons who work but have a low income and persons who are unemployed; persons who live together and buy food together; persons age 60 and older and persons with disabilities.
