Description of Program and Relief
SoonerCare (Oklahoma Medicaid)
SoonerCare (Oklahoma Medicaid) is a health coverage program jointly funded by the federal and state governments. This program helps pay some or all medical bills for many people who cannot afford them. Covered healthcare services may include doctor visits, hospitalization, and prescriptions. While no specific guidance has been provided regarding eligibility for those affected by COVID-19, individuals and families adversely impacted by COVID-19 should be eligible if they meet general eligibility requirements. The Oklahoma Health Care Authority is allowing expanded use of telehealth through October 31, 2020 for services that can be safely provided via secure telehealth communication devices for all SoonerCare members. The Oklahoma Health Care Authority has also added coverage for certain COVID-19 laboratory testing.
