An associate in the Litigation Department, James J. Beha II has worked on a variety of litigation and regulatory matters, including both civil and criminal securities litigation, state and federal regulatory inquiries, and general contractual disputes.
He has also handled a number of pro bono matters, including the extensive representation of an inmate in post-conviction proceedings in both federal and state court in connection with the recantation of testimony by witnesses.
Mr. Beha served as articles editor of the
NYU Annual Survey of American Law, where his note, "Redemption to Reform: The Intellectual Origins of the Prison Reform Movement," was published. He is an active member of the Federal Bar Council and is an associate in the Federal Bar Council American Inn of Court.
