As a partner in the Litigation Department, Jessica S. Carey has worked on a broad range of complex commercial litigation and regulatory matters for financial institutions and corporations, with a focus on securities litigation and regulatory defense. Ms. Carey specializes in the representation of global financial institutions, private equity firms and other clients in complex securities and commercial matters in federal and state courts across the country, as well as before the SEC and federal and state regulatory authorities.
Currently, Ms. Carey is defending JPMorgan Chase in numerous matters and class action litigations arising from the near collapse of Bear Stearns in March 2008. She also represents Deutsche Bank in civil litigations in state and federal court brought by investors in residential mortgage-backed securities.
Ms. Carey is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Ms. Carey served as notes and articles editor of the
Fordham Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
