Jack Lange is a partner in the Corporate Department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, based in the firm's office in Hong Kong.

Mr. Lange's practice is concentrated principally on the representation of private equity and venture capital funds and other financial investors in connection with their activities in Asia, including investment activities, portfolio company financing and acquisition activities and investment fund formation and fund raising. He has represented major private equity and venture capital funds, as well as leading strategic investors in the technology, communications and media fields, in connection with complex and highly structured investments and fund raisings in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Japan.

In assisting investors throughout the region, Mr. Lange draws on broad experience in corporate and project finance and M&A. He has assisted issuers and underwriters in connection with public offerings and private placements of equity and debt by companies based throughout the region.

In the project finance area, Mr. Lange has represented lenders and project developers in relation to a wide range of power, telecommunications, oil and gas, and industrial projects in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, India, Korea and elsewhere in Asia.

Mr. Lange, and the Paul, Weiss Asian private equity practice, have been consistently recognized as market leaders. Chambers Asia ranks Mr. Lange as a "Band 1" leading individual in private equity and has recognized him as "bringing a great deal of expertise and sophistication to a deal" and "a deal doer who is very commercial and transaction focused"; the IFLR 1000 Guide to the World's Leading Financial Law Firms lists Mr. Lange as a top tier leading lawyer in private equity; and the PLC Cross-Border Private Equity Handbook and PLC Which lawyer? Yearbook lists Mr. Lange as a top tier "Highly Recommended" private equity lawyer. Asialaw's "Leading Lawyers" identified Mr. Lange as a leading lawyer in venture capital and private equity, and corporate governance. Mr. Lange is also listed in the Euromoney Guide to the World's Leading Private Equity Lawyers and Who's Who in Private Equity – China, and in the Asia Pacific Legal 500 as a leading private equity lawyer in Hong Kong. Paul, Weiss was named as one of the top three in “Best Law Firm (Transactions) In Asia” category by Private Equity International magazine from their PEI Awards 2009.

Prior to joining Paul, Weiss in 1988, he served in the Office of the Legal Advisor of the U.S. Department of State.
