Jyoti Sharma is an associate in the Corporate Department and a member of the Private Funds Group. Ms. Sharma focuses on the formation and operation of a wide variety of private investment funds, including buyout funds, hedge funds, hybrid funds, distressed funds, seed capital funds, structured products funds and funds of funds.

Ms. Sharma represents a diverse group of sponsors, including:

• Avenue Capital;
• Bass/Oak Hill;
• BlackRock;
• Fortress Group; and
• Reservoir Capital.

In addition, Ms. Sharma has extensive experience in establishing separately managed accounts with respect to a wide range of U.S. and non-U.S. investors. She has also negotiated the internal arrangements among partners of a number of established and emerging investment management firms, including in connection with the spin-outs from Lehman Brothers of both Lehman merchant banking business and Lehman real estate private equity business.

Ms. Sharma obtained her J.D. from the Washington University School of Law where she was a member of the Washington University Law Quarterly and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Ms. Sharma also served as a Legal Fellow for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
