Paul, Weiss Client Citigroup Prevails in Terra Firma Trial
Citigroup Inc., represented by Paul, Weiss lawyers Ted Wells, Jay Cohen, Jack Baughman and relationship partner Brad Karp, has won the trial of a multibillion dollar lawsuit by Terra Firma Capital Partners Ltd. and its Chairman Guy Hands who claimed he was tricked by the bank into overpaying for EMI Group Ltd. in a 2007 auction.

Ted Wells, who was named one of "The Decade's Most Influential Lawyers" earlier this year by The National Law Journal, was named "Litigator of the Week" by The American Lawyer for the Citigroup victory, the second time he's received that accolade.
