Paul, Weiss Nominated for ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2010

Paul, Weiss has been nominated in the ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2010 in the categories of "IT/Telecoms Law Firm of the Year" and "Taiwan Deal of the Year." This is the ninth consecutive year that Paul, Weiss has received the nomination for "IT/Telecoms Law Firm of the Year," winning the award for the past eight years in a row. The deal of the year nomination is for The Carlyle Group share swap transaction between kbro, Co., Ltd and Taiwan Mobile Co. Ltd., which was valued at $1.8 billion. The Paul, Weiss team representing The Carlyle Group in the transaction included corporate partner Jeanette Chan, counsel Corinna Yu, and associates May Chan, Mable Law and David Lee; and tax partners Jeff Samuels and David Mayo, and associate Mashiho Yuasa. The ALB Hong Kong Law Awards recognizes the excellence and outstanding achievements of Hong Kong's leading law firms and in-house legal teams as well as the top deals and dealmakers of financial year 2009 - 2010.
