Paul, Weiss Ranks Sixth on Am Law's 2010 "A-List" of Elite Law Firms

For the eighth consecutive year (since the ranking's inception), Paul, Weiss has been selected by The American Lawyer as one of the nation's elite "A-List" law firms. Paul, Weiss leaped 14 places on this year's list, a rise attributed in part to the firm's 50-percent increase in total pro bono hours. The article makes special note of the firm's federal district court victory for Disability Advocates Inc. in a suit against New York state agencies and officials that sought to eliminate unnecessary institutionalization of the mentally ill. The "A-List" represents a ranking of the nation's top 20 law firms, based on their revenue per lawyer, pro bono work, diversity, and associate training and satisfaction.
