On June 22, 2010, Paul, Weiss and the Directors Roundtable will co-host the CLE program Defending Financial Institutions, taking place at the Harvard Club in New York City from 8:30 -11:00 A.M. Chair of the firm, Brad Karp, and litigation partners Chuck Davidow and Mark Mendelsohn will address the increased regulatory scrutiny financial institutions are facing and the ever-changing landscape that has significantly increased these institutions' exposure to litigation. The panel will share their expertise regarding the defense of financial institutions and will explore the international regulatory environment, including the increase in anti-corruption enforcement and the latest developments in FCPA investigations. Additional speakers include P.J. Mode, special counsel at Citigroup, and Susan Markel, managing director at Alix Partners and former chief accountant of the Enforcement Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
