Paul, Weiss To Receive Street Law's Law Firm Community Service Award

Street Law, Inc. announced that Paul, Weiss will receive its "2012 Law Firm Community Service Award." The award is given annually to a law firm that, through participation in a Street Law program, has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to service in its community.

Paul, Weiss is recognized for the instrumental role it played in the launch of Street Law's Summer Associates Program, a new Street Law program for D.C. law firms. The program enhanced the summer associates' experiences by giving them the opportunity to engage in a meaningful community service program and a chance to experience the public interest and pro bono aspects of life at a law firm.

Last year, Street Law recognized Paul, Weiss and communications & technology partner Patrick S. Campbell at their annual award dinner in April. Street Law's executive director, Lee Arbetman, thanked Patrick for his 13 years of service on the organization's board and thanked the firm for its generous financial contributions. Street Law is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals to transform democratic ideals into citizen action through legal education.
