Paul, Weiss Retained by National Basketball Players Association

As reported in The New York Times, The American Lawyer and other media outlets, a special committee of the board of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) has retained litigation partner Ted Wells and Paul, Weiss. 

The leadership and business practices of the union have recently come under scrutiny, due to claims of nepotism and conflicts of interest, and last week the NBPA received a subpoena for documents from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. 

Ted and litigation partner David Brown will conduct an internal investigation on behalf of the special committee.
