Lexpert Magazine Selects Canadian "Big Deals"

In its February issue, Lexpert Magazine named to its list of "Big Deals" the Province of Alberta's renewal of its $3 billion Global Medium Term Note Programme, after nearly seven years out of the market. The Paul, Weiss team acting as U. S. counsel to the Province of Alberta included corporate partner Christopher J. Cummings and tax partner Jeffrey B. Samuels.
Also named to the list of "Big Deals" was Canadian Natural Resources Limited's (CNRL) completion of a $1 billion note offering, which was conducted in the United States. T he Paul, Weiss team serving as special U.S. counsel to CNRL included corporate partner Andrew J. Foley; tax partner David W. Mayo and environmental counsel William J. O'Brien.
