On January 4, corporate partner Marco Masotti was quoted in a featured Financial Times article, "Permanent Capital: Perpetual Cash Machines," about private equity and hedge fund vehicles that last in perpetuity. In industry parlance, this is known as "permanent capital," and is described by the article as the "holy grail" for fund managers. "These vehicles are likely to be a meaningful alternative," said Marco. "There is no ticking clock of a finite life and there is always a readily available pool of capital."
