Ericsson to Acquire Azuki Systems

On January 31, Paul, Weiss client Ericsson Inc. entered into a merger agreement to acquire Azuki Systems Inc., a provider of TV Anywhere delivery platforms for service providers, content owners and broadcasters. This acquisition complements Ericsson's recent acquisition of Mediaroom from Microsoft and is expected to extend Ericsson's leading TV and media portfolio by adding key technologies and functionality. The merger is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in two weeks. Deal terms were not disclosed.
