Jyoti Sharma is counsel in the Corporate Department and a member of the Private Funds Group. Jyoti focuses on the formation and operation of a wide variety of private investment funds, including private equity funds, credit funds, hedge funds, hybrid funds, seed capital funds, structured products funds and funds of funds. She also advises on investment management M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, majority and minority stake investments and spin-outs.

Jyoti has extensive experience in establishing separately managed accounts and customized private investment funds with respect to a wide range of U.S. and non-U.S. investors. She has also negotiated the internal arrangements and succession plans among the partners of a number of established and emerging investment management firms, including in connection with the spin-outs from Lehman Brothers of both the Lehman merchant banking business and Lehman real estate private equity business.
