A partner in the Litigation Department, Robyn F. Tarnofsky has a diverse practice that encompasses a broad range of litigation matters, including complex securities and commercial litigation.
Ms. Tarnofsky has recently litigated on behalf of:
- Citigroup, in defense of securities class action and related fraud allegations involving Enron Corporation;
- Merck, in defense of securities and ERISA class action litigations relating to the company’s sales of Vytorin;
- Merck/Medco, in defense of a derivative litigation alleging that the pharmaceutical company improperly recognized revenue;
- Conexant, in defense of securities, derivative and ERISA litigations arising out of a merger;
- Interpool, in defense of shareholder objections to a going-private transaction; and
- A private equity firm in defense of shareholder objections to going-private transactions.
Ms. Tarnofsky has appeared as a faculty member for the PLI’s annual program “Managing Complex Litigation” and served as executive editor of the
Harvard Law Review.
