Michele Hirshman and Yahonnes Cleary Featured in Thomson Reuters Article on Associate Leadership Institute

Litigation partners Michele Hirshman and Yahonnes Cleary were featured in a Thomson Reuters article discussing the Associate Leadership Institute (ALI), a multipart, innovative leadership program designed to provide skill-development and networking opportunities for attorneys of color at the City Bar’s signatory law firms. The article, “Retaining Attorneys of Color: A Deep Dive View into Sponsorship & Mentorship,” addresses the difference between sponsors and mentors, explains what a sponsor does, describes the characteristics of an excellent protégé and discusses the pathways to sponsorship. The program, in its second year, has graduated more than 110 fourth- to eighth-year associates in New York City law firms.
