We have a comprehensive approach to helping our women lawyers thrive and grow.

  • Firmwide Women’s Network open to all lawyers interested in joining
  • Career development and business development workshops
  • Diversity & Inclusion curriculum for lawyers at all levels on topics including cultural competence, unconscious bias and managing effectively across differences
  • Alternative Work Program that allows attorneys to reduce their workload and remain eligible for partnership consideration, although their time frame for consideration may be affected. Several current partners have been elevated to partnership while in this program.
  • Parental leave benefits for new mothers and fathers, as well as infant transition support and back-up child care

The Women’s Initiatives Committee hosts panel discussions and receptions for women summer associates. Valerie Radwaner, Corporate Partner and Deputy Chair of the firm, moderated a lively and candid discussion with four women partners, representing both corporate and litigation practices, about how they built their careers at Paul, Weiss.

Takeaways included taking charge of your success by asking for feedback after finishing a matter and for advice on how to improve your skills; the importance of building your network both internally and externally; and the benefit of taking advantage of abundant opportunities at Paul, Weiss to do pro bono work.
