2022 1L Diversity Summer Program
Paul, Weiss has been committed to inclusion since its founding — a dedication that has shaped the intellectual and cultural character of the firm over many decades. Most elite law firms profess a devotion to diversity and inclusion, but none can match Paul, Weiss’s history of putting it into practice.
Our 2022 1L Diversity Summer Program offers a select group of diverse first-year law students the opportunity to work at Paul, Weiss’s New York or San Francisco offices during their 1L summer. Participants in the 1L Diversity Summer Program will be included in all aspects of the firm’s Summer Program, including training, mentoring, work assignments and social activities. The weekly salary for 1L summer associates will be the same as that of 2L summer associates. Upon successful completion of the 1L Diversity Summer Program, participants will be eligible to receive an offer to return to the firm as a 2L summer associate in 2023.
Participants in our 1L Diversity Summer Program will also have the opportunity to participate in the 2022 1L LCLD Scholars Virtual Summit, June 7-9. Paul, Weiss is a proud member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), which is an organization committed to building a more open and diverse legal profession. - Cover letter indicating your departmental interests
- Unofficial transcript (any first semester grades unavailable by the application deadline can be forwarded separately once received)
The deadline to submit applications is January 31, 2022.
