Changes to Arizona Medicaid Program to Address COVID-19

Arizona’s Medicaid agency is relaxing certain administrative requirements, including permitting out-of-state providers to offer emergency and non-emergency care to Arizona Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) enrollees; waiving provider enrollment fees during the course of the declared emergency; waiving the requirement that certain healthcare professionals be licensed in Arizona; and suspending pre-admission screening and annual resident review for individuals being considered for admission to a nursing facility.
