DMV Temporary Permit Extensions

Governor Gavin Newsom has extended the expiration dates for temporary drivers’ permits by an additional sixty days from the first sixty-day extension. The first sixty day extension applied an additional sixty days to temporary permits with expiration dates between March 4, 2020 and August 14, 2020.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Temporary drivers’ permits with expiration dates of March 4, 2020 through August 14, 2020 are eligible for a 60-day extension.
