Description of Program and Relief

Suspension of Evictions and Foreclosures

Governor DeSantis of Florida has issued an Executive Order 20-137, extending Executive Order 20-94 suspending and tolling any statutes providing for either mortgage foreclosures or evictions under Florida law.

The relief does not change tenants’ and homeowners’ obligations to comply with the terms of their leases or mortgages and to make timely payments.

Executive Order 20-94 does not relieve individuals from their obligations to make either mortgage or rent payments.
