Description of Program and Relief

Community Development Block Grants (“CDBG”)

There are $6.3 million in CDBG funds that currently reside with 36 Kansas communities, who use them for revolving loan programs for small businesses. In the wake of COVID-19, the Kansas Department of Commerce has streamlined the process so these communities can issue working capital loans in as little as two days rather than the typical 30 days required.
