Description of Program and Relief

Business Expansion and Retention (BEAR) Grants

BEAR Grants are administered by the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) to be used for economic development projects within Utah counties. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, GOED is, at the counties’ discretion, allowing existing BEAR grant recipients to repurpose funds to be used for utilities, rent, payroll, payroll taxes, or employee health benefits.
