Complaints Handling

Paul, Weiss London, is committed to providing the highest quality service. However, if at any point you become dissatisfied with any aspect of the services we provide to you, please inform us immediately so we may do our best to resolve the problem. In the first instance, it may be helpful to discuss your concerns with the partner in charge of your matter. If that is not appropriate or you consider their response to be inadequate, you may write to David Lakhdhir at the office address cited above and request a copy of the formal complaints procedure.

If we are unable to resolve the problem, you may be entitled to ask the Legal Ombudsman to independently investigate your complaint. Please be aware that before accepting a complaint for investigation, the Legal Ombudsman will check that you have tried to resolve your complaint with us first. If you have, then you must make your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving our final response to your complaint. You must also make your complaint no more than one year from the act or omission being complained about or from when you reasonably should have known that there was cause for complaint.

If your complaint is about your bill, you may also apply to the court for an assessment of the bill under Part III of the Solicitors’ Act 1974.
