DOJ Names Andrew Finch Acting Assistant Attorney General of Antitrust Division

The U.S. Department of Justice announced the appointment of Paul, Weiss partner Andrew Finch as Acting Assistant Attorney General of the Antitrust Division, effective April 10, 2017. In that role, Andrew will oversee all of the Antitrust Division's activities – including civil and criminal enforcement, policy and international engagement – until Makan Delrahim is confirmed as the new Assistant Attorney General, at which point Andrew will serve as Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General.

During his career at Paul, Weiss, Andrew has handled antitrust matters for clients in a wide range of industries, including financial services, insurance, manufacturing, publishing, retailing, shipping and transportation.

This will be Andrew’s second stint at the Antitrust Division. From 2003 to 2005, Andrew served as Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General of the Antitrust Division, concentrating on civil merger and non-merger investigations, trials and appeals.
