Of counsel Mark Alcott recently played a major role in several events in this year’s annual ABA Meeting, held in New York. As part of the annual affair, the ABA held a series of events, programs and panel discussions entitled “CLE in the City” at major law firms and other special venues throughout Manhattan. Mark chaired several of these events on legal topics related to the United Nations. Three took place at the UN itself, including a luncheon in the UN dining room featuring speeches by Mark and the President of the General Assembly. The fourth event, entitled “New Global Agenda for Women: Discussion of 21st Century Challenges to Women’s and Girls’ Empowerment,” took place at our new 30th floor conference center. New York Law Journal coverage, including photos of the event at Paul, Weiss and a photo of Mark leading the New York delegation, can be found here and here.
