Litigation partner Walter Ricciardi spoke on a panel with Margaret McGuire, Vice Chair of the SEC 's Financial Reporting and Audit Task Force, at the "29th Midyear SEC Reporting and FASB Forum." Walter's panel, titled "Staying Out of Trouble: SEC Enforcement Renews Focus on Accounting Cases," discussed accounting fraud, MD&A and disclosure cases, auditor independence cases, cases related to foreign operations - FCPA and China issuer cases, the influence of the Accounting Quality Model and other issues attracting the attention of enforcement and the plaintiff's bar. The event took place on June 16 in New York City.
