Paul, Weiss is widely recognized as having one of the nation’s preeminent securities litigation and regulatory practices. For two decades, our lawyers have guided global corporations and financial institutions through a series of “bet-the-company” securities-related crises, consistently reducing or eliminating their most damaging claims and negotiating favorable resolutions.
Firm chair Brad Karp and litigation co-chair Ted Wells will participate in panel discussions at the Practising Law Institute’s 49th Annual Institute on Securities Regulation. Brad will moderate a panel titled “Private Securities Litigation: Navigating the Latest Challenges,” which will focus on key considerations in bringing, defending and resolving private securities litigation, implications of Leidos Inc. v. Indiana Public Retirement System, applications of Janus, Halliburton II, Omnicare and Morrison, and current issues in D&O insurance. Ted will speak on a panel titled “Crisis Management: The Advanced Course,” which will focus on real-world hypotheticals, crisis prevention, advance planning and training, and communicating with internal and external constituencies, among other topics. The event will take place from November 8-10 in New York City.
