The Legal Aid Society will honor eight Paul, Weiss lawyers with their 2009 Pro Bono Publico Awards for outstanding service to the Society and its clients. Every year, the award recognizes the outstanding work of volunteer lawyers, law firms, corporations, and other professionals who participate in the Society's Pro Bono Program. The recipients will be honored on October 26.
The Paul, Weiss recipients include partners Roberto Finzi and Michele Hirshman, and associates Rebecca Carvalho, Julie Fink, Issa Mikel, Jane O'Brien and Julie Romm. Honorable Jonathan Lippman, Chief Judge of the State of New York, will preside over the event and present the awards.
