Pro Bono Client Fleeing Persecution in Zimbabwe Obtains Asylum

Paul, Weiss obtained asylum for a pro bono client from Zimbabwe
who had been targeted based on her father's membership in an
opposition group to President Robert Mugabe's regime. The case
involved over three separate merits hearings and ended on December
21 with Immigration Judge Amiena Khan granting full relief for our
client.
The case was supervised by Liza Velazquez and litigated by
associates Nila
Merola, Angelo Guisado and Kimberly
Francis. The team was assisted by associates Tammy Wang and
Luca
Barone.
