Alexia Korberg Publishes Article on History of U.S. Abortion Law and Future of Abortion Access

Litigation partner Alexia Korberg and associates Daniela Lorenzo and Tatiana Laing wrote an article, “The past, present and uncertain future of US abortion law,” in Solicitors Journal, a UK-based legal journal and the world’s longest-running legal publication. The article, published online and in print in January, details the history of U.S. abortion rights and the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decisions recognizing the constitutional right to abortion in Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey; subsequent state attempts to limit access to abortion care, including a recent Texas state anti-abortion law, S.B. 8, designed to stymie lawsuits to invalidate it; the current legal landscape in which the U.S. Supreme Court is revisiting Roe v. Wade; and the future of abortion access.
