Description of Program and Relief
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Benefits
SNAP benefits (formerly known as food stamps), help people buy the food they need. In response to COVID-19, emergency benefits will be allotted to provide households with the maximum allotment. Emergency benefits are automatically loaded to recipients’ accounts on June 30, 2020.
SNAP benefits are currently available to buy food online at Amazon, Walmart and Wright’s Markets, Inc. Access is provided automatically to all existing SNAP card holders.
