Description of Program and Relief

Health Insurance Through Alaska Medicaid

Through the already-existing Medicaid program, Alaska residents that become unemployed and as a result lose essential minimum insurance coverage may apply for Medicaid. Although no specific guidance has issued with respect to COVID-19, persons adversely impacted by COVID-19 and meet general eligibility requirements should be qualified to apply.

Effective immediately.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Must be an Alaska resident. Eligibility dependent on, among other things, household size, income level, disability or pregnancy, or primary caretaker status. For instance, $1,707 is the maximum monthly income level for a single individual and $2,303 for a two-person family.
