Description of Program and Relief

Gap Funding Support for Small Businesses

Energize Colorado, a nonprofit dedicated to helping Coloradans recover and rise from the COVID-19 pandemic, offers a Gap Fund of more than $25 million to provide both small business loans and grants. Sole proprietors, businesses, and nonprofits with less than 25 full-time employees may apply here for up to a $15,000 grant and a $20,000 loan for a possible combined total of $35,000 in financial assistance.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Sole proprietors, businesses, and nonprofits with less than 25 full-time employees are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to small businesses: (1) majority-owned by minorities, women, or veterans; (2) located in a rural area; or those that (3) that have not been successful in pursuing and/or receiving funds from federal programs.

Application Deadlines (If Applicable)

There are no application cut-off dates, but applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible due to limited availability of funds.
