Description of Program and Relief

Guidance Regarding Missouri’s Economic Reopening

The Director of the Department of Health and Senior Services issued the Economic Reopening Health Order. The guidelines are summarized below, though businesses and individuals should check for any additional city or county restrictions. In the absence of such additional city or county restrictions:

  • Every person and business in the State of Missouri shall abide by social distancing requirements, including maintaining six feet of space between individuals.

  • People shall not visit nursing homes, long-term care facilities, retirement homes, or assisted living homes.

  • Beginning May 4, 2020, any entity that employs individuals that is engaged in retail sales to the public should operate at 25% or less of occupancy if the location has less than ten thousand square feet and 10% or less of occupancy if the location has greater than ten thousand square feet of occupancy.

  • Restaurants may offer dining-in services, provided that the limitations on social distancing and other precautionary public health measures, including proper spacing of at least six feet between tables, lack of communal seating areas, and having no more than ten people at a single table, are properly adhered to.
