Description of Program and Relief
Unemployment Insurance Benefits
Unemployment benefits are generally available to individuals who have been separated from employment through no fault of their own. The New Hampshire state government has filed emergency rules granting additional access to unemployment benefits for those unemployed because of COVID-19. Under these rules, individuals who are unemployed or are no longer able to be self-employed due to COVID-19 may apply for benefits. The waiting period required to be served by individuals filing for unemployment insurance has also been temporarily suspended.
The standard online application is still required.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions
Eligibility requirements can be found at https://www.nhes.nh.gov/services/claimants/index.htm. Basic eligibility requirements include being fully or partially unemployed, through no fault of your own, and being ready, able, and willing to work. You must also have enough work and wages in covered employment.
Application Deadlines (If Applicable)
You must open your claim the week your hours were reduced; or if you became unemployed from full-time work on a Thursday or Friday, you must open your claim the next week during the available window (https://wfc.nhes.nh.gov/auth/sso/login?execution=e1s1).
