Corporate partners Scott Barshay and Jeffrey Marell will participate at The Deal’s upcoming conference, “Corporate Governance 2017: Navigating New Challenges to Value Creation.” Scott is taking part in two keynotes: in one, he will interview Delaware Court of Chancery Vice Chancellor Sam Glasscock III; in the other, he will be interviewed by television personality and former hedge fund manager Jim Cramer on modern-day activist challenges and effective responses by boards. Jeff will participate in a panel “Don’t be a Jerk: How Best to Integrate Activist-Designated Directors Into Corporate Governance,” which will examine ways to identify common ground and improve communications between the activist and the rest of the board. The event will take place on June 5 in New York City.
